MCNUTT'S ISLAND ADVENTURE   9:00am-5:30pm

One of the options of the 9:00am boat tour is to stop off at McNutt's Island for your own special adventure, which should definitely include a walk across the island to the Cape Roseway Lighthouse.  Just a 10-minute walk from the wharf you will come to Hagar’s Cove.  This is where Anne Yarborough and Greg Brown live - they call their place New Jerusalem Farm.  They have graciously offered to invite our passengers to have a walking tour of their home which they have beautifully restored.  This home was built in the 1850's by fishermen.  Anne & Greg will look forward to you stopping by and saying “Hello”.  They have been living on McNutt’s Island year-round for the past two years.

Things to enjoy for your Island Adventure...

  • Wild Island Sheep
  • Cape Roseway Light
  • Giant Birch Tree
  • WWII Gun Placements

Packed lunch...  Since Greg loves to cook, they can prepare a back-packed lunch to enjoy when you reach the Cape Roseway Lighthouse (see the menu below).  Anne and Greg would also like for you to stop back at their house on the way back to the wharf for afternoon tea and homemade sweets if you wish (see the menu below).

When you book your trip, just let Sherri know your lunch order and she will pass the info on to Anne and they will have your back-packed lunch ready for you to pick up when you reach New Jerusalem Farm.  You will leave from our dock at at 9:00am, then be dropped off at the Government Wharf on McNutt’s Island at 10:15 am and the tour boat will be back at 4:00 pm to pick you up so you will have 5 ½ hours to explore McNutt’s Island.  You will enjoy it! Guaranteed!

New! McNutt's Island Express... $5 each way to lighthouse(3km). You walk from the government wharf to Jerusalem Farm, pick up your lunch if you have reserved one, then Greg shuttles you to the lighthouse. At 2pm in the afternoon, you take the Express back to the house.  You can have tea $10 if you'd like, or wander our grounds or tour Hagar’s Cove and then walk back to the wharf in time to be picked up by Ken and Sherri at 4pm. A wonderful adventure!
